1. Overview

Al Saber Tailoring is committed to delivering your custom-tailored garments safely and on time. This Delivery Policy outlines our processes, timelines, and terms for delivery services within Dubai and across the United Arab Emirates.

This policy complies with:

  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 on E-Commerce
  • UAE Consumer Protection Law No. 15 of 2020 (as amended)

2. Processing Times

Processing time begins after order confirmation and receipt of deposit payment. Please note that processing times vary based on service type:

2.1 Standard Processing Times

2.2 Peak Season Delays

Processing times may be extended during peak periods:

  • Ramadan (March-April)
  • Eid Al-Fitr (April-May)
  • Eid Al-Adha (June-July)
  • UAE National Day (November-December)
  • Wedding Season (October-March)

Advance notice: We recommend placing orders 2-4 weeks earlier during peak seasons.

2.3 Express / Rush Service

Available for select services at additional cost:

  • Express Fee: 25-50% of service cost
  • Rush Turnaround: 50% faster than standard processing
  • Limitations: Subject to current workload and complexity
  • Not available for: Complex wedding gowns, bulk uniform orders

3. Delivery Options

3.1 In-Store Pickup (FREE)

Standard Pickup:

  • Available at our Dubai location
  • Address: [Your Complete Business Address], Dubai, UAE
  • Business Hours:
    • Saturday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
    • Friday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Pickup Requirements: Government-issued photo ID or order number

Holding Period:

  • Completed orders held for 30 days at no charge
  • After 30 days: Storage fee of AED 10/day applies
  • After 90 days: Unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of (refund forfeited)

3.2 Home Delivery (Within Dubai)

Free Delivery:

  • Available for orders AED 500 and above
  • Delivered within 1-2 business days after order completion
  • Available in most Dubai areas (see coverage map)

Paid Delivery:

  • AED 50 for orders below AED 500
  • AED 75 for remote Dubai areas (Jebel Ali, Dubai South, etc.)

Delivery Areas Covered (Dubai):

  • Dubai Marina
  • Downtown Dubai
  • Business Bay
  • DIFC
  • Jumeirah (1, 2, 3)
  • Bur Dubai
  • Deira
  • Al Barsha
  • Dubai Silicon Oasis
  • And most other Dubai areas

Excluded Areas (No Home Delivery):

  • Dubai Investment Park (DIP)
  • Jebel Ali Industrial Area
  • Al Qudra Area
  • Remote desert communities

3.3 Delivery Across UAE (Other Emirates)

Delivery Fees:

3.4 International Delivery

Currently Not Available.
We do not offer international shipping at this time. This policy may change in the future.


4. Home Measurement and Fitting Service

4.1 Home Visit for Measurements

Free Home Service (Within Dubai):

  • Available for orders AED 1000 and above
  • Includes consultation, measurement, and fabric selection

Paid Home Service:

  • AED 150 for orders below AED 1000
  • AED 200 for locations outside central Dubai

Booking:

  • Must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance
  • Subject to tailor availability
  • Service available Saturday to Thursday (9 AM - 6 PM)

4.2 Home Fitting Sessions

For bespoke and wedding orders requiring fittings:

  • First fitting: Included in service price (for orders AED 1500+)
  • Subsequent fittings: AED 100/visit (if conducted at home)
  • In-store fittings: Always free

5. Delivery Process

5.1 Order Completion Notification

Once your order is ready:

  1. SMS Notification: Sent to your registered mobile number
  2. WhatsApp Message: Confirmation with photos (if applicable)
  3. Email: Order ready notification with pickup/delivery options

5.2 Delivery Scheduling

For Home Delivery:

  • We will contact you to schedule a delivery window
  • Delivery Windows:
    • Morning: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    • Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    • Evening: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Recipient must be available to receive and inspect items

5.3 Delivery Confirmation

  • Customer (or authorized person) must sign upon delivery
  • Inspection required: Please inspect items immediately upon delivery
  • Report issues within 24 hours for fastest resolution

5.4 Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery fails due to:

  • Customer unavailability
  • Incorrect address provided
  • Unreachable phone number

We will:

  1. Attempt to contact you via phone/WhatsApp
  2. Reschedule delivery (1 free rescheduling attempt)
  3. After 2 failed attempts: Order moved to in-store pickup

Redelivery fees:

  • 2nd delivery attempt: AED 50
  • 3rd delivery attempt: AED 100

6. Delivery Responsibility and Risk

6.1 Transfer of Risk

  • In-Store Pickup: Risk transfers when you receive the item
  • Home Delivery: Risk transfers upon delivery and signature

6.2 Inspection Upon Delivery

You must inspect items immediately upon delivery for:

  • Correct item(s) delivered
  • Visible damage or defects
  • Completeness of order

After 24 hours: We cannot guarantee remedies for unreported delivery issues.

6.3 Lost or Damaged in Transit

We take full responsibility for items lost or damaged during delivery:

  • Full replacement or refund
  • Expedited remaking (if custom item)
  • Compensation for inconvenience (case-by-case basis)

You must report loss/damage within 24 hours of scheduled delivery.


7. Delivery Delays

7.1 Our Commitment

We strive to deliver all orders within the stated timeframes. However, delays may occur due to:

Unforeseen Circumstances:

  • Fabric supply delays
  • Fitting rescheduling by customer
  • Complex design challenges
  • Staff illness or emergency
  • Public holidays
  • Force majeure events (weather, government orders, etc.)

7.2 Communication

If your order will be delayed:

  • We will notify you at least 3 days in advance of the original delivery date
  • We will provide a revised delivery date
  • We will offer alternatives (if applicable)

7.3 Excessive Delays

If delivery is delayed beyond 14 days from the agreed date (not due to customer), you may:

  1. Request cancellation and receive a full refund (if paid in full)
  2. Keep the order with a 10% discount on final payment
  3. Expedite delivery with our commitment to complete within 3 business days

This does not apply to delays caused by customer (missed fittings, measurement changes, etc.)


8. Accurate Delivery Information

8.1 Customer Responsibility

You must provide:

  • Accurate delivery address (building, apartment, landmarks)
  • Working phone number with WhatsApp (preferred)
  • Alternative contact (recommended)
  • Delivery instructions (security code, parking, reception, etc.)

8.2 Address Changes

  • Before dispatch: Free address change
  • After dispatch: May incur additional delivery fee

9. Packaging

All items are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery:

Standard Packaging:

  • Protective garment bags
  • Dust covers for suits and formal wear
  • Branded packaging for premium items

Premium Packaging (For Wedding/Luxury Items):

  • Luxury garment boxes
  • Tissue wrapping
  • Ribbon and branded seals
  • Care instruction cards

10. Tracking and Updates

10.1 Order Status

You can track your order at any time:

10.2 Delivery Tracking

For home deliveries:

  • You will receive the delivery driver's contact information
  • Real-time updates via SMS/WhatsApp
  • Estimated arrival time notification

11. Special Delivery Instructions

11.1 Delivering to Hotels/Offices

  • Ensure reception/security is informed of incoming delivery
  • Provide alternate contact (hotel room number, office extension)
  • We can deliver to concierge/reception with prior arrangement

11.2 Urgent Delivery Requests

For same-day urgent deliveries (subject to availability):

  • Fee: AED 150-200 (depending on location)
  • Conditions: Order must be ready and within Dubai
  • Booking: Minimum 3 hours' notice required

12. Delivery During Ramadan and Public Holidays

Ramadan Delivery Hours:

  • Before Iftar: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • After Iftar: 8:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Public Holidays:

  • Limited delivery service on UAE National Day and Eid holidays
  • No delivery on first day of Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha
  • Advance notification will be provided

13. Delivery for Bulk/Uniform Orders

For corporate or school uniform orders:

  • Free delivery for orders above AED 5000 (UAE-wide)
  • Delivery to single location only (school/office)
  • Individual employee delivery not available (additional charges apply)
  • Dedicated delivery coordinator assigned for large orders

14. Environmental Commitment

We are committed to sustainable delivery practices:

  • Reusable garment bags (please return for discount on next order)
  • Minimal packaging waste
  • Optimized delivery routes to reduce carbon footprint
  • Eco-friendly packaging materials (where possible)
